Keeping the tongue healthy

The tongue is one of the most important organs in the body. A healthy tongue is pink and moist. If your tongue is white or has a sore, herbs can help.

Medicinal herbs and home remedies can help heal and protect the tongue, gums, and mouth.

Use yellowroot tea as a mouthwash to kill infections on the tongue. Yellowroot is a natural antibiotic that can really help. We sell yellowroot in our store if you are interested in buying some.

Use salt water as a rinse to relieve mild pain. Try brushing with licorice and myrrh powders to clean deeply.

Use honey or Aloe Vera juice to protect, heal, and prevent infection on the tongue and in the mouth. Hold it in your mouth as long as possible before spitting or swallowing.

These natural remedies for the tongue also work for sore throats.

Science, herbs, and the tongue

Studies show that several herbs contribute to tongue health. In recent tests, tulsi, mint, or curry leaf was chewed daily by volunteers.

Salivary pH values increased in all groups within 30 minutes of chewing, which is an indicator of a healthy mouth. In countries where dental services are scarce, this is good news.

Chewing these herbs fights cavities, plaque, tartar, and bad breath. They also help the gums to stay healthy and inhibit growth of oral cancers caused by chewing tobacco.

What is the tongue?

The tongue is a fleshy muscular organ that takes up a lot of room in the mouth. In humans, it is used for tasting, licking, swallowing, kissing, and speaking.

The tongue is also a spiritual tool. It can be used for good or evil depending on the words that it forms.

The tongue is a powerful weapon when used against sickness and disease.

The tongue can speak things into being. Once your tongue is pink and healthy, use it for good things. The tongue is more than a bodily appendage. It can create!

In your daily life, remember to speak life, not death, and the health of your body, mind, and spirit will greatly improve.

The tongue is a spiritual tool for healing.

Holy Bible
Remember the first chapter of Genesis? It tells how God's words set creation in motion. He said "Let there be light and there was light".

God created the world with His words! Then He created us in His image.

No matter your religious beliefs, the powerful story of creation implies that our tongues are important tools. Like God, since we are made in His image, our tongues also contain great powers.

Whether we realize it or not, the tongue brings either peace and joy or pain and destruction. Humans should be careful about spewing out negative words, gossiping, and lying.

It is hard to control the tongue but it gets easier with practice. Dirty laundry can seem more interesting than clean. Still it is best to speak on good things. Try it for one day and see what happens!

Calling those things which be not as though they were.

We should call those things that are not as though they were. If you grasp this truth, you will be a lot happier.

Speaking things into being seems crazy at first, but it is a powerful tool given to humans as a gift. The Bible talks a lot about the tongue, and gives us instructions for using it wisely.

Positive speech can move mountains, even if it is just one dirt clod at a time.

When used for the good, the tongue can change lives for the better. Don't say, "I'm catching a cold".

Are your running after it trying to capture it? No!

Tell it to leave your presence. Out loud.

Rebuke all sickness in the name of Jesus. Of course, you should also take precautions like washing your hands and eating right. Part of a physical world, we should do all we can to nourish and protect our bodies.

Yes, words are powerful, but common sense is a virtue, too. Go to a doctor if necessary. Good healthcare professionals are a real blessing.

God can use a doctor's and nurse's hands to heal our bodies, no doubt about it! Thank God for America's healthcare system. Other countries are not so blessed.

Small changes in speech can alter lives.

Constant complaining does not help anything. Instead count your blessings and give thanks. Small changes in speech can alter lives.

For example, if you hate vegetables but would like to eat more leafy greens, get up every morning and say, "I love kale and cabbage. I really do like spinach, collards, and turnip greens. Delicious!"

Soon your way of thinking will change. Some people might point at mind control, but it's really God's way of empowering us. Our words work miracles, so be sure to thank God when the day comes that you crave salads and bowls full of kale instead of fried chicken.

Use your tongue to give blessings.

Bestow blessings, not curses. If someone says, "God dang it" or worse, then you say, "God Bless". A blessing will counter a curse and render it ineffective.

The name of "Jesus" is the best tool of all and is readily available to all Christians. Just speaking the name "Jesus" alerts our guardian angels and stops Satan's demons in their tracks.

People might stare when they hear the name of Jesus because it is a rare occurrence in today's world. They might make fun or even get angry. That's OK because seeds have been planted in their brains.

Use the power of your tongue to heal.

The battle between health and sickness is a spiritual war that we can win! God gives us tools like the tongue so we can have better lives here on Earth.

Use the gift of speech, along with herbal medicine, to do good. Use it to heal your body. Use it to bless others. Study God's other spiritual gifts and use them, too! We are not worms of the dirt, but strong children of God. Amen.
